Peace of Bread: Kalamata Olive Sourdough

$13.40

I once read that Olives – in the form of trees, fruit, or oil – can be viewed as a thread woven through and, arguably, connecting Holy books of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.  Be it as analogy, metaphor, or seemingly pithy aphorism, Olives depict themes of love, peace, and service across these texts.  I can neither argue for or against this claim.  I do, however, love the idea.  Olive as connection; as community; as social, ecological, and spiritual medium.  This is precisely how I consider and approach Bread.  So here, extending the branch, the Landrace wheat varietal Yecora Rojo provides haven for an abundant gathering of Kalamata Olives, brine and all.  I lovingly offer you: Peace of Bread.
